    Good Question.  You can't upgrade from Apple II+ to Apple //e, otherwise
you would have to modify softswitch to support main/aux memory.  How can you
support Double High Resolution on Apple II+?  It is likely to add and modify
IC chips into Apple II+'s motherboard.
    You would have to live with unenhanced Apple //e by moving from Apple
II+ before upgrade to enhanced Apple //e.
