Especially, they should work with my Q-point interface card
(grappler compatible) and with my HP Desk Jet 600 (AppleWorks)
is doing so .

If by "editor" you mean a word processor (as you use of a
DeskJet implies), then most people would probably prefer
Appleworks. It is a very versatile, sufficiently capable, and
easy-to-use integrated word processor, spreadsheet, and
database with many optional capabilities and more support
than virtually any other Apple II software.

Although it has never been (an probably will never be)
released as freeware, it is frequently available on eBay
and from other Apple users, and is also available on the
web with the usual caveats--check the FAQs.

_Graphic_ text editors are another thing!

Appleworks with Superfonts is still a fine way to use multiple
fonts, but, of course, it isn't WYSIWYG.

PublishIt! (yes, that's really the name ;-) is a very good graphic
WYSIWYG editor for the Apple //e. It has (had) a large number
of users, and is also available on the web.

I would also mention the GEOS package, if you can get it. There's another package that I've got (but can't remember the name of it) that also migrated to the IIgs.
