The "surge" of interest in getting Apple II systems running
is heartening.

A _very_ good way to get started is to Google

"apple II" faq

and you will find much to read and get you started,
including where to find software, how to download it
and transfer it to a real Apple II, and much more.

(You will also learn how Google can find you almost
anything in the blink of an eye.  ;-)

If you do that, and encounter problems or questions,
then this is a good place to ask them.
