Thanks.  VEX looks interesting, though it looks like the type of company 
I can deal with.  From what I've been told, the freenet has been taken 
over by an ISP and is offering service for $5/month.

Now to start digging out the terminal software.  I was using MMGR a 
couple of years back, because the z-modem support was reliable, but I 
seem to recall it having trouble with lynx's VT100 support.  Can anyone 
suggest a terminal emulator with working/modern VT100 support.
