Re: Using SSC to transfer disk images
I finally got it working. I had a bad cable and a bad connector on the card.
Now I keep getting disk errors with ADT. I gave up on Apple Oasis since
their goofy emulator doesn't load the included prodos disk that is need for
the operation. The entire problem types out at 300 baud, and then it barfs
at the BSAVE command. The light does not come on, but it says I/O Error. I'm
guessing thats because my disk controller is in Slot 7 and not 6 as given in
the command........ Could I hook my Disk ][ into slot 6 and have "dual"
drives? I probably should get another unidisk, but I'd rather make due with
what I have.
2S/2D disks should work in a 5.25 inch unidrive, correct? I have many that
don't. I know HD disks don't work. I have a box of new old Polaroid and
Kodak 2S/2D disks, but none of them seem to work. Even a few 1S/2D ones
don't work. A few old(er) data disks used by other people work, but I don't
know whats on them and don't want to erase them yet.
It works with 7 data bits, but I can change that if its a problem.
