Who Needs MAME? ... Introducing the Vintage Gaming System v1.0
I thought I would pass on a contraption I put together over the last few
weeks. I call it the Vintage Gaming System v1.0. I took an ugly but
functional TV stand and turned it into an ugly but functional Vintage Gaming
System. Six computers presently reside in the VGS. They are the Commodore
64, Apple IIc, Tandy Color Computer 3, Atari 800XL, TI-99/4A and Commodore
Amiga 2000. I decided to put the system together after getting tired of the
hassle of setting up a system to tinker with. The VGS lets me get one of
the 6 systems up and running in just seconds. Flip a switch or two on the
power strip, select the video signal and turn on the monitor, pretty simple.
It's on wheels so I can keep it one step ahead of my wife's wrath. Check it
out and let me know what you think. Any ideas for the VGS v2.0?
