Do you know if this is still true of Windows 2000's direct cable
connection?  I have a link someone posted here on how to modify
Win2000 to allow a Linux connection to work properly.  I still haven't
gotten my Win2000 box up and running properly yet so haven't had a
chance to play with it.

I really need a router.  I could also use a LANceGS card so then I
wouldn't even need to worry about the direct cable connection.  :-)

I noticed.  I downloaded it about a week ago.  I mentioned it in chat
on Syndicomm after I posted my original message and I think it
reminded Tony that he had to make it available.  I checked on
Sourceforge a couple days later and there it was.  :-)
