Painless (and consistent) screenshots?

I'm wanting to take an absurd number of screenshots from some emulated
Apple software, and I'd like to be able to do it in a consistent
manner, so I don't have to heavily massage the resultant graphics. I
have a windows box (and a linux machine, but I like AppleWin), so my
MO in the past has been to use Alt-PrtScr, paste into an image
massager, crop to the actual screensize, and save, but this will be
inordinately tedious for the number of shots I want. Is there an
emulator (or combination of an emulator and other tool) which would
painlessly save _just_ the Apple screen, preferably prompting for a
filename (although I can make do with arbitrary filenames too), and
not involving the whole runaround with clipboard and auxiliary
graphics software.
