: I have three Imagewriter printers, but they all have a problem.
Every
: time I thread up tractor feed paper into them, they eat the
paper
: instead of letting it run through. I've checked the FAQs as
well as
: the book that came with one of the printers, so I know I've
threaded
: them right. What could be the matter?

I got this solution from a friend who used
lots of IW printers in his place of employment.

:: Try this one:
::
:: We used to have IW's at the college as
:: our only printers, and we had the same
:: problem with paper, until I came up with
:: a very simple solution:
::
:: The left tractor feed guide is the important
:: one--keep it locked down in position. Release
:: the right one, and let it "float." Feed the
:: paper in, and it'll sort of stabilize itself-
:: -paper stays in place because of the left
:: tractor feed, and you waste less paper.
