I haven't bonded with ProSel yet.  I use SuperSelector v3.2 as my start up GUI
at home (DeskTop 1.1 is used at school to "ooh" and "ahhh" the Windows'
crowd--heck, to make them humble).  With SuperSelector, my //e gets a small,
fast program launcher that is text-based and mouse or keyboard driven. 

You mentioned that you liked the idea of the card being smart and not searching
for drives that are not attached.  I unattached and reattach my 5.25 and 3.5"
drives with a little software program that is launched by SuperSelector upon
start up.  It does make for quicker and quieter searches.
