Well, for the purposes of this group, there are emulators out there that
run on Windows that will let a Windows computer run Apple software.

Trouble is, that's 20-year-old Apple ][ 8-bit and 16-bit software, which isn't
what you're talking about.  It is, however, what most of the content of
this particular newsgroup is about.

For Usenet purposes, Apple Macintoshes are "comp.sys.mac.*". 
"comp.sys.apple2" is for old-school Apples (many of which, interestingly
enough, were salvaged from old schools...!)
