No, Appleworks does not support "standard" spreadsheet
interchange formats.  But some software supports the import
of Appleworks files.  CrossWorks helps get it to Microsoft
Works, and there are several options from there.

With all the TimeOut add-ins, no one ever (IIRC) made an
add-in that would output well-known formats for structured
files, like comma- or tab-delimited.  Strange--particularly
as it became clear that the platform was nearing the end
of its useful business life.

Early versions of ClarisWorks (for the Mac and the PC) also
had the ability to import Appleworks (for the II) files, and that
would be another possible bridge to more current spreadsheets.
These file format translaters were dropped from later versions
of ClarisWorks, unfortunately but expectedly.  (The final irony is
that current versions of ClarisWorks are now called "Appleworks"! ;-)
