Sounds like an pretty low price to me.

The Apple II card is made in tiny lots and has no economies of scale.
Personally I'm amazed that it's only $145. Not only does that sound
cheap on an absolute scale, considering the manufacturing circumstances,
it's low relative to historical prices for Apple II peripheral cards.
If the LANce GS had been produced by Apple or Applied Engineering in
the late 80s it would have cost twice as much, in late 80s dollars.
