Microdrives don't have that limitation, and the smaller sizes are fairly
cheap (Pricewatch currently lists 340MB Microdrives starting at $44).  Their
power consumption should also be significantly less than even a 2.5" hard
drive.  Given the relatively weak power supplies in most Apple IIs (just
killed one last night in a moderately-loaded IIe), anything that keeps power
consumption down is a Good Thing.
