HP went to standard DRAM after the first few units, but Apple
persisted in using proprietary memory expansion. ;-(
I have a Laserwriter 4/600, in great shape, that cost me $20.
It would be nice to expand it to the full 6MB, but I'm not about
to spend $40 to do it!
