Normally cards with ROMs won't work in slot3, but
it depends on whether they need the expansion slot
space, C800-CFFF, I think. (Notice Bryan that I say,
I think) The best way to learn what will work and
what will not is to try it. Most cards intended to
work, will, and those not intended to, will not.
You won't hurt the card. All slots have relatively
the same signals, except for slot 7 in the IIgs which
has the video signals as well, and Slot"0" in the
II and II+ which are missing(?) some. I've had just
about every card I own in every slot of every machine
that I own and they all still work.
