I thought I had one fail once, but it turned out that the leg (pin) became separated just inside of the body. It hadn't lost it's programming. How many of which eprom would you like/need?
Thanks Bill but I'm not too badly off for EPROMs. I've had a lot of junk electronics pass through here over the years and I've saved all the EPROMs. Bigest annoyance is something that happened a couple years back. I've been in no hurry so I've just been using sunlight to wipe EPROMs. Unfortunately I tried a UV setup someone had for wiping EPROMs and a number got too hot and now won't program. Also unfortunately they got mixed in with my other EPROMs so I can't tell which is which until I try to program it. Wayne
