Nope. Apple was very paranoid about clones those days. Besides they were
pushing people to buy Macs. A GS clone would have meant they would have to
keep the II line going longer. It would also mean third party developers
could improve the line (much like the manufacturers of the ][+ clones
did). Why would people buy a Mac if the GS were as powerful and half the
price?
