Okay for those that have //gs's if you go back to GSOS 1.0 and 2.0
you will see the early finder. It was called the 'Apple II Desktop'
and it was very simular to MouseDesk. Except I thought Apple II
Desktop looked alot nicer then MouseDesk.
Long time ago you can run Apple II Desktop on the //c+. You just
have to move some files around so it can run on the //c+ (getting rid
of any GS related stuff on the disk). The only problem with Apple II
Desktop (MouseDesk has this same problem), is that it keeps the 3.5
drive running. It has something to do with the controller chip that
was used forthe 3.5 drive. You can't bit copy 3.5 disks using the
internal 3.5 drive either.
However when I try to run it on the IIe card, it crashes. I don't
have a //e to try this yet. Not until I can get a card to plug a 3.5
in my //e (working on it). Have any of you tried to use Apple II
Desktop on a //e? If so what do you think has been changed that it will
not run on the IIe card?
Just wondering......
