I was over at a someones place to pick up some Apple II mags when
he asked if I'd be interested in a II+. I said yes of course. When
he handed me the box I could happily see Apple II with no plus
on the cover. I could also see the raised power light so I was
guessing Rev 3 or 4.
I was partly right, the case is of that vintage but the Motherboard
is a Rev 7 and the bottom pan is a RFI one. Power light cover was
Rev 3-4 vintage but the keyboard came from a plus.
Odd 16k card though, has a toggle switch on it that's accessible from
outside the computer. Write protect? Guess I'll have to do some
testing or circuit tracing to find out.
Floppy drive didn't work. On opening it I checked the cable first
and sure enough it was plugged in upside down. I figure someone took
it apart to clean the head then plugged the cable in upside down on
reassembly which also fried a chip when they plugged it in.
