:
: You won't need the paddles for the shift key mod. It connects
the
: shift key to PB2 input, so that software can tell when the user
is
: holding down the shift key.
:
: The normal monitor will ignore this and deliver upper case, but
: there are applications (mostly word processors) that check the
: shift key, and there are patches for Applesoft that allow you
to
: type and edit programs in upper and lower case.
:
: Of course, lower case is not worth much unless the lower case
: character generator EPROM is installed (toward the very front
: of the main board). Usually, installation of the shift key mod
was
: done hand-in-hand with replacement of the character generator.

:
: I'm sure there are plenty of such opportunities, Simon! ;-)

Damned white of ya too Michael. ;-)
You wouldn't happen to know where
the production data for the Mockingboards
is would ya? I'm having lots of requests
for them. How hahd could it be? Wonder
if I could use the Ensoniq from a IIgs.
Hmmmmm, now there's a thought and 1/2.
