But to modify ProDOS to allow volumes greater than 32MB
would be 1) very difficult, and 2) would obsolete almost all
ProDOS disk tools.
It would not be very difficult to write a "mount" utility to
allow any of a large number of 32MB partitions to occupy
the limited number of ProDOS Slot/Device mount points.
This would be the most straightforward way to make larger
disks usable on 8-bit Apple II's.
