Banked CP/M 3.1 on Apple //e?

There is an unbanked "56K" CP/M 3.1 for the Apple //e out.  That's not a
lot of memory and I was thinking about the possibility of modding the
system to support the extra memory on the 128K //e, including possibly the
RAM Works, and perhaps using that functionality to add additional support
to CP/M for some block devices such as 3.5" disks (perhaps this will be
useful when the EMU][ Z80 is up to par)...

Unfortunately when it comes to stuff I'm a n00b and not familiar with Z80 
at all. :( So it's just a pipe dream... :(
