If I used one of those ADB-USB adapters, would I need to do anything
special to make it work with OS-X? I hate having to type on my Mac. It's
not just that the CONTROL key is in the wrong place, it's that the
gigantic Macintosh keyboard is GARBAGE compared to the IIgs keyboard
attached to my IIgs...!

I did pick up one of those to play with after seeing the ones on PCs.
I just plugged it in and tried it with OSX and it seems to work very
well with a regular ADB keyboard and mouse. As a bonus the power key
works the same way for shutting down the Mac as it did with ADB Macs.

On the minus side third party ADB devices didn't fair as well. The ADB
graphic tablet didn't work at all and I wasn't able to program the
buttons on a Kensington ADB Trackball.

Now if that USB card for the Apple II gets produced it'll be interesting
to see what works with it.
