Even if the command firmware doesn't support it, you can use an ancient
technique for generating double-GR images...the lores graphics screen
occupies the same memory space as the screen, so you can blast printable
characters to the 80-column screen and get graphics as a result.  Just
remember that there are two blocks per character.
