You can actually use a straight thru cable with an SSC.
Simply point the jumper block on the card to "Modem" for
a nullmodem cable and "Terminal" for a straght thru cable.
If I have that wrong, just reverse it. One way is for one
cable and the other for the other. No special cable is needed.
