Re: Apple IIgs booting from Mac server
The //gs GSOS needs Appleshare installed. If you are using GSOS
6.01 it's one of the install disks. Just use the installer and install
AppleShare. You have the port settings right for the //gs, but I would
check to make sure you have Appletalk turned on the SE/30 and that it
is set to the port you are using for this hook-up (ie, modem port or
printer port). Once that is set, you should be able to log on to your
net work by going into the control panel (GSOS style) and open the
AppleShare CDEV. It should bring up your Mac in the list.
Just a side note, you will not able to boot the //gs with this set
up. Like I said before you will need AppleShare 2.x or AppleShare 3. x
on the Mac in order to do this.
