I don't like the term "defector" when in fact it is Windows that is
defective, not the 'defector'.

Wrong group, but you know that already.

: I use the following apps daily, any freeware Apple equivalents?

: IE

IE is dead on MacOS. Microsoft said so. I find Camino (Mozilla) to be
the most compatible, but Safari has some really nice features. I usually
use Safari, but occasionally have to switch to Camino for selected sites,
in much the same way that I switch between Opera and Netscape at work.

: Ephpod (Not in US, iTunes does not welcome me)

: Those I know of, and will have to purchase again
: MS Office
: Macromedia DreamWeaver/Fireworks

Both available in MacOS versions.

: Thanks in advance. Be connecting to a Cable WiFi router (Linksys
: BEFW11S4), hope no known problems with the AirPort. Reading up on file
: sharing with the Windows network, any pointers?

OS-X is more friendly to Windows than it is to AppleTalk.
