My OSX-Computer cannot connect to a 8.6-Computer
Since a week ago i can no longer connect to my wife's computer. I have
OS X.2.8, she has OS 8.6. The two computers are connected over
ethernet.
Before i used command-k (at least thats the way you do it on a german
mac) to connect, i wrote my password and could in a new dialogue
choose the harddisk (she has two harddisks in her computer).
Now i can see her computer (PM 6500) and i can write the password
(when it's wrong it warns me), but then it's like under the older OSs,
when the finder crashed: it jumps back to the last program that i used
before changing to the finder.
In console (in German: Konsole) it says:
Oct 16 15:14:04 Lukas-P-Hubers-Computer crashdump: Crash report
written
to: /Users/lukasphuber/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/Finder.crash.log
and there it says
Date/Time: 2003-10-16 15:14:04 +0200
OS Version: 10.2.8 (Build 6R73)
Host: Lukas-P-Hubers-Computer.local.
Command: Finder
PID: 1056
Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x00000000
and goes on for many more lines.
Can somebody help me? (i ran fsck and harddisk help, or what it is
called in English, and Macjanitor, but it didn't help fsck says
everything is ok).
This is my first posting in google groups so forgive me if i have left
out something important.
Thanks for your help!
Lukas
