That sounds right but FredWriter had a lot of extras provided byt
users, et.al as it saw a lot of use in schools. I just thought it
interesting that Paul Lutus released this cut down freeware version of
AppleWriter during a time that freeware applications were not always
available.
I think Willi also asked about the versions of AppleWriter too. There
was the original Dos 3.x version for the II+ (maybe II also) and later
an ProDOS version came to market. The ProDOS version had some problems
with newer 8 bit systems which led to the final releases. I never got
much chance to use the early Dos version, other than some text editing
but I heard the WPL system was awesome to use.
