The AppleWorks that people are talking about here is for the Apple II (Apple
IIe, IIc, and IIGS), not for the Mac. It is not exactly "free," but it is an
illegal upload, since Apple Computer never officially released it. Due to the
fact that Apple never acknowleges our many inquiries about it, or shows any
interest whatsoever, some people feel it is okay to exchange the files
"freely."
But it is nothing like the version of AppleWorks for the Mac. Our AppleWorks
v5.1 for the Apple II could be run on a Mac with an Apple II emulator, but it's
still not the same thing as the product formerly known as ClarisWorks. Not the
same thing at all.
