In case you haven't guessed, the software I'm talking about is
SoftDAC. I think I can still get sound out of it, but not record. I
recall there being some company in India that made it possible to
digitize sound through the game port, but I was kind of leery of
dealing with them. I do have a //e, so if I really want, I can use
that to record.
