MFS was the original Macintosh File System, before HFS. It was a flat
file system, with no directories. Folders were simulated by the Finder.

MFS was normally used on 400K diskettes, and HFS on 800K and larger
disks, though it was possible to create 800K MFS or 400K HFS diskettes.

The original poster wants to copy a 400K MFS diskette on an Apple II.
