Yah, I have concluded a professional scanner is the only way to
do it, and destroy the book in the process, spine/binding off.
I have done large scanning projects and a good scanner that is
FAST is worth its weight in gold. I spend a complete MONTH full
time and weekends doing some documentation scanning for my SmalltalkHistory.com
project (still in the works) in Nov 2000 (damn that was a long time ago
and feels like yesterday).
