Re: What is Apple II

And some of us in 1981 actually went out and bought a 10 meg hard disk for
3,000 and along with a 80 column card, and the UCSD Pascal system actually
wrote software for a living with the that little 8 bit AppleII+

With a hard disk, and a good OS like the UCSD, it was a rather incredible
development system. I developed a Canadian Payroll system in that
environment, and the Pascal system was easily up to the development task at
hand, in terms of memory, and even performance was just fine for such a
complex business application.

So, not all our memories are just school and games!

Some of us actually did work with these computers!

Regardless, your sort little rundown of the apple and it place in history
was heart warming to read!

Anyway, I can't bring myself to throw out that appleII+ just yet....
