Actually, the *only* Apple ][ machine(s) I've seen were accompanied
by an Apple /// machine (although not powered on). Of course, this
was in a computer museum which is the only place where I've seen the
Commodore PET and CBM series too (not to mention the only place where
I've seen TRS-80 and plenty of CP/M machines).
Unfortunately, I think this museum only was open for one season, and
all the machines[1] were stored away somewhere -- because they couldn't
have been thrown away, could they?!?
[1] including Altair 8800, Osborne-1, a room full of IBM PC clones
and of course a couple of VIC-20/64 and Atari -- sorry, but I
didn't see a single Sinclair computer in this "personal computing"
museum.
