A long time ago, I attended a trade show in Chicago packing a 
brand new DuoDisk (generously loaned by a local dealer), and my 
new demo (with multiple backups). Disk wouldn't boot; backup 
wouldn't boot; other backup wouldn't boot; etc. I finally 
realized the DuoDisk was eating disks! It was writing garbage to 
track 0. Presumably it had been damaged in transit.

This probably does not apply to you, but the horror still 
lingers 20 years later:-) So, watch what you feed a 
malfunctioning dirve.
