Hi,
I have seen this before. It has happened to me. The cause was the 8
mini din connector on keyboard. The connect was bad. The computer
would boot slower than 1MHZ. One of the leads on the keyboard circuit
board has broken its soder connection. Connection is made, then
unmade. Information is not getting back to the computer or is
interrupted. Seems like the computer is waiting for it.
The solution is to resoder the mini din connections on the keyboard.
I did it an all is fine. This is on of the weak spots on the IIgs. I
have repaired a few boards for bad connections. In one the copper
trace circut was broke, repaired (jumped it) with a small solid copper
wire.
