Well I'd sugest you not use any software other than the DOS on the PC. Use the mode command to set up the port and send the ascii file over the serial port with the type command as outlined in the CSA2 FAQ at 300b.

I wrote this procedure and have sucessfully done this on a II+, unenhanced IIe, enhanced IIe, IIc, IIc+ and IIgs. The slotted IIs including the IIgs were done using a super serial card. (Originally ADT did not support other serial devices.)
