You still need to populate it with 8MB to get eight working megabytes even though you'd think you need only 7MB since there is 1MB on the motherboard. If you don't you will get errors. I populated it with 8MB on my ROM 3 and it worked flawlessly until I stopped using my IIGS.
There were two different Sirius 8mb cards. With the original one automatically recognized the RAM on the card. The second one was a bit different, the jumpers controlled how much RAM the card recognized. Wayne
