Although the '816 is basically pin compatible to the 6502,
they are not signal compatible. And to answer other posts
without opening another new one, YES, the Liron and UniDisk
combo does in fact work in my IIe and IIgs. I haven't tried it on
an unenhanced IIe but I'm sure it will give the same results.
I may need to remove and check the pins on all my roms, as I
haven't done that yet, but will before installing in the case that
I just received today. Oh, and I did change the mechanism in the
UniDisk drive, could that be a problem? I assumed the same mech
would work out of an Apple 3.5 drive. Thank you all. Let me know
if you think of any other troubleshooting techniques.
