File types are _always_ a problem when there's a Mac involved.

Try to avoid any file type that the Mac might think it understands,
like TXT.  Try to make all systems that a file passes through think
that it is a binary file, so that it will not try to "help" by changing
end-of-line conventions.  ;-)
