Eric,

While a serial null-modem transfer is certainly the most common, there
is another method that I haven't seen anyone mention yet.

Back in 1994 Clay Chang (from Taiwan) created AP2222PC for doing
transfers between the Apple II's 16-pin I/O (game) port and the PC's
parallel port.  I haven't tried this program myself but from those who
I've heard from indicate that it works very well and the documentation
is very good.  The downside is that you can't be shy about using a
soldering iron to create the cable he describes.
