Hi,
I recently bought a dead apple II europlus for spares and inside most of
the RAM chips have got an apple logo stamped on them in addition to the
manufacturers data (Mostek MK4116N-3). Does having this logo make them
valuable? The 5 chips I have tested were working so I guess most of the
other will be too.
I'm guessing that back in the early 80's apple could put their logo on
chips bought in from Mostek and then charge the end users a lot more
money for them. Today this would be called a rip-off.
