It does not support FAT, HFS, ProDOS or any other file storage system. 
If the computer it's plugged into supports FAT, HFS or ProDOS then it 
can use those disks. The drive itself is only capable of using disks 
with the MFM low-level format, not the GCR that Apple used to use on 
their double-density 800KB disks.

It is now five years since Apple stopped including floppy drives in 
their computers and in all that time not one manufacturer has bothered 
to produce a USB floppy drive capable of using GCR disks. I hardly think 
they will start now.

Keep looking though, a USB drive capable of using Apple 800KB disks 
would be very useful.
