I believe all ProDOS partitions are limited to 32 mb, HFS can be almost
unlimited in size. Also there is a limit to the number of volumes and
individual entries in each volume, but I believe also that the finder or
whatever launcher you use handles higher numbers. I make IDE drives
for GS and I put 15 - 32 mb partitions for ProDOS and the rest, which
comes out to approximately 290 mb in HFS format. I've heard of people
having fairly large HDDs on their IIgs, I think one said 6 gb but I could
be mistaken. This would definitely need rather large HFS partitions.
Anyway, I hope I answered your question somewhere in that long post.
