    You're not wrong.  If I remember correctly, Woz developed the
integer BASIC without the aid of an assembler.  M$ also did the BASIC
for Commodore's line of 6502 machines.  The BASIC in the Commodore PET
isn't much different from the BASIC in the Apple II.
