A program that didn't require the services of prodos could be run entirely
in the aux bank while another program resided in main ram with each
switching to the other. You could, probably would copy F8 rom to the aux
bank so the routines were available for use. Since aux and main have their
own zero page and stack there is no conflict. As is mentioned so often
careful planning would be necessary.

The more common method is to store program functions as modules in aux mem
and swap them into main mem as needed.

An example would be Proterm. The first time you enter the editor the program
module is loaded from disk. From there on out the module is swapped from/to
aux/main.
