What he refers to as the fuse cover on the power supply is actually the
110/220v switch. Apple never used a power supply with a fuse holder on the
outside. And those small power supply switches were always failing, they are
way under designed.
And Apple never ever put a serial number on the motherboard on the Apple ][
or ][+. What he's seeing is a date code of 80xx. Which means the motherboard
was made in xx week of 1980. Considering the ][ came out in late '77 and the
][+ came out in '79 sometime. I am heading out the door so I can't verify the
exact timeline of the ][+. Hmmmm.
Apple did put serial numbers on the machines and power supplies, and I have
never known the two to match.
