Any RGB monitor with composite sync and capable of sync'ing
down to 15.734 kHz horizontal should work with the properly
constructed cable. I have no idea of the pinouts for such, but it
could be searched out on the internet.

As far as I know there are very few places dealing in Apple II hardware
and if you are registered on eBay, there are usually IIgs monitor cables
from time to time. IIgs to SCART would probably need to be constructed
and IIgs to VGA is a major project with me and many other Apple II
enthusiasts throughout the world.

It is impossible to read/write Apple II disks of any shape on the PC.
Apple II drives are GCR encoding and PCs are MFM. However,
with the right hardware and software, it is possible to write MS-DOS
disks on the Apple IIgs. Also, very rare now, you could attach an
Apple II drive to a PC.
